Control your indoor air quality yourself

The system is centrally set to "cooling"? With the Katherm HK E, the room can be heated via the continuously controllable electric heating element. This allows the room user to determine their individual indoor air quality.

Lowest noise thanks to acoustic decoupling

Katherm HK E trench technology units are very often used in acoustically sensitive rooms, as the smooth-running tangential fans are mounted with acoustic decoupling. For maintenance purposes, the fan can be easily removed and reinserted without tools.

48 variants

There are two trench widths to choose from, as well as two width-dependent trench heights. Depending on the on-site requirements, various product-specific lengths are available for all performance requirements in the 2-pipe system.

Custom-made solutions

For every building architecture with individual geometries, custom-made solutions are possible. This applies to the trench and the grille. Available examples include:

  • mitred corners
  • curved versions
  • angles and slopes
  • column cut-outs
  • various grille variants
  • frame edges

Removal of the tangential fan

The high-efficiency EC tangential fans used in Katherm HK E can be easily removed without tools for cleaning and Maintenance thanks to an innovative fastening system.

Protection during installation and construction period

The Katherm HK E units are carefully packaged for delivery. In addition, the trenches are protected against dirt and damage with a sustainable paper cover.

Since the trenches are often installed in the building at an early stage of interior construction, a wooden installation cover can also be inserted at the factory for protection during the construction phase at an additional cost. The grilles are supplied separately packaged.

Primary air supply

Katherm HK E with supply air function are ideal for introducing conditioned primary air (fresh air) into the room. heating, cooling and air supply are thus optimally combined. Two design variants are available for this purpose: primary air supply via supply air modules or through supply air ducts.

Technical features

2-pipe system as a 4-pipe solution

  • only one 2-pipe system is installed
  • the comfort of a 4-pipe system is achieved via the electric heating element
  • results in significant savings in pipework routing within the floors
  • resources are conserved and installation and commissioning costs are reduced
  • by reducing CO2 emissions along the value chain, the use of Katherm HK E has a positive effect on the building life cycle assessment rating

Switchable electric heating element

  • the integrated electric heating element can be individually switched on for room heating when heating is required
  • the electric heating element and the EC fans used are infinitely controllable in output and fan speed
  • makes additional electric heating possible

Primary air supply

  • Katherm HKE with supply air function are ideal for introducing conditioned primary air (fresh air) into the room
  • heating, cooling and air supply are optimally combined
  • two design variants are available for this purpose: primary air supply via supply air modules or through supply air ducts
  • in both variants, the primary air volume flow exits the trench at a low, low-turbulence discharge velocity
  • the supplied air volume can be adjusted as required via air dampers

Electromechanical control

This variant is ideal for simple applications. All integrated actuators are factory-wired to a terminal and can be connected to our electromechanical accessories such as thermostats or external controllers.
