Katherm QE
Fan-assisted trench heating with EC technology and electrical element.
Overview
One width. One height. Three lengths – there‘s no need for more. Every trench has been optimised for efficiency and noise emission.
Katherm QE units meet the required safety guidelines and are CE and UL certified. The heat output characteristic curve and the safety functions, proportional to the control voltage, were measured taking into consideration the relevant standards.
We consider the environmental impact of our products over their entire life cycle - "cradle to cradle"! The results are Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). The EPDs can be easily submitted to all common building sustainability certification systems, such as DGNB, BREEAM or LEED, and are available in the download area. The product is also registered in the DGNB Navigator building product platform.
- Stainless steel/zinc aluminium with continuously variable control of heating element and fan controlled by a 0-10 V signal
- Protection class IP 65
- Heating element factory-wired into control unit
- As visual protection of the connections
- With integral ventilation slot
The grille of the Katherm QE prevents contact with the coil. It is factory-fitted and can only be removed with a tool.
- With integral grille as a safety guard for an even airflow through the heating element, providing high heat outputs with low noise emissions continuously variable speed control via an external 0-10 V signal motor monitoring with internal fault processing

A small word with a big meaning: NANO!
The classic Katherm QK is now supplemented by Katherm QK nano. The incentive for nano came from London: here, as in many export markets, the floor construction height varies between 400 millimetres in commercial buildings and merely 100 millimetres in residential buildings.
