      basic unit

Kampmann Katherm HK primary air trench heater, ready-to-install floor trench, either for installation in raised or screeded floors, coil-based for heating and cooling with tangential fan-assisted convection and primary air supply. Heat outputs and cooling outputs tested in accordance with DIN EN 16430, parts 1 to 3. Hygiene-certified in line with VDI 6022.
Trench chassis made of sendzimir galvanised sheet steel, coated in graphite gray. Modular trench unit consisting of a connection module, a power module, and an expansion module. The connection module contains all building services interfaces, including an electrical connection and control box, an EC fan motor, a water-side heat exchanger connection, and a condensate connection on the drain side, optimized for simple, time-saving installation. The power module consists of a heat exchanger and a tangential fan with continuous, cascaded cross-flow rollers. The expansion module is for the 4‑pipe heat exchanger connection.
Features side mounting brackets and height adjustment with foot-operated locks, each with impact sound insulation, for secure mounting of the duct. Includes pre-punched openings for water supply and return lines and electrical connections, on the room side. Trench chassis prepared for condensate pump mounting kit.
Segmented metal sheets serving as both finger protection for the tangential fan and a filter fleece mounting frame, air guide plate, grate support, and cross brace to reinforce the duct. Center wall serving as both an air-guidance plate and mounting plate for the tangential fan. Air outlet slots along the trench length for primary air discharge. Prepared for primary air modules with supply air connections.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data is published in the form of an EPD according to EN 15804 and is available to download from the International EPD System. Registered in the building products platform DGNB Navigator. GWP (phase A1-A3), kg CO2 Äq.1,12E+02. Further calculations possible online.

      Heat exchanger

High-performance heat exchanger made of circular copper pipes with aluminum fins and a 1/2-inch valve connection, coated in graphite gray. Features a sturdy anti-rotation device and simultaneous splash protection during venting. Collector with integral bleed option.

      Condensate tray

Condensate tray has a flow-optimised design, for the simultaneous discharge of condensate and air guidance below the convector. Condensate tray designed as an independent component that can be removed for cleaning and maintenance in accordance with VDI 6022.

      Fan

Tangential fan with safety guard. Energy-saving EC fan with 0-10 V input for stepless fan speed control. Thermal overload protection by thermal fuse. Motor protection class IP 20. Designed for SELV supply, protection class 3. All rotating parts are mounted on low-noise and maintenance-free bearings. Motor monitoring with internal fault processing.
Even flow through the convector, low power consumption for effective, energy-saving consumption, also sound-optimised for low sound values. Easily removable for cleaning and maintenance due to combined coupling/ball joint system with simultaneous acoustic decoupling. Factory-wired ready for connection. Valve control via 24 VDC control contacts.

      Control

      230 V electromechanical control version
Electrical connection unit factory-fitted and wired. Connection options for on-site signals to control the fan (continuously variable) and actuators, including 230V/ 24V power unit. Continuously variable speed control via an external 0-10 VDC signal.

      Grille

With frame insert profile, colour-coordinated to the grille. With protective installation cover and frame trim. With screwed cover panels for the connection areas. With double T-profile grille. Connections made of corrosion-proof steel springs with matching spacers.
