High heat output without pumped hot water

The PowerKon QE with electric heating coil is the ideal solution for rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows in which the use of a convector with pumped hot water cannot be realized or is uneconomical. The high heat output is supported by an energy-saving EC tangential fan, while maintaining a low sound level.

Design options

The powder-coated steel housing, either in the attractive DB 703 color or, on individual request, in another RAL color, can be combined with the elegant Optiline grilles in anodized aluminum colors, stainless steel, or brass.

Installation options

The PowerKon QE is freestanding. With its slim dimensions it is particularly suitable for installation in front of floor-to-ceiling window surfaces and low parapets.

CE-certified

The PowerKon QE complies with the required safety guidelines and is certified according to CE. The measurement-based determination of the heat output characteristic curve and the safety functions, proportional to the control voltage, was carried out in accordance with EN 60335, Part 1, Part 2 - 30 and Part 2 - 40.

Technical features

Powerful combination technology

  • the powerful electric heating coil in combination with fan assistance from the EC tangential fan ensures high heat outputs
  • PowerKon QE units are arranged with the heating coil on the window side and the tangential fan on the room side
  • the air rising along the facade from the heating coil forms a warm air roll and flows into the room without drafts

High operational safety

  • an integrated safety chain consisting of safety thermostat and thermal fuse ensures safe operation with low surface temperatures
  • the safety circuit in the event of improper operation is 2-stage (mechanical and electrical)
  • the PowerKon QE also has motor monitoring with integrated fault processing
  • for touch protection the convectors are additionally equipped with a factory-installed grille fastening

connection area

  • the heating coil and the safety chain are integrated into the power control at the factory and have a floor-side connection opening for the electrical connection
  • Protection class: IP 65
  • the cover plate for the connection area of the PowerKon QE has integrated ventilation slots

Grille fastening

  • thanks to the factory-installed grille fastening integrated as touch protection the grille can only be removed with a tool

The electric heating coil and the fan have infinitely variable power control, which is controlled via a 0-10 V signal.
