Heat generation: KaClima heat pumps

Heat pumps are central components of modern office air conditioning. The KaClima series is our range of efficient heat pumps and chillers for the commercial sector. These water-based heating and coolingsystems for buildings give you certainty about the future. Heat pumps and chillers are modulating and can be cascaded, adapting to the output required.

Almost as an after-thought, you also benefit from the cooling function of heat pumps. Many heat pumps already incorporate this functionality. You can therefore supply the appropriate room units with hot water, but also with cold water, which you can then use to cool your building. There may be a need for further insulation of the pipes and the removal of condensate water depending on the cooling output required. So why not consciously design in a cooling function from the get-go.

Venkons adapt perfectly to any individual room situation and guarantee a climate of well-being. They provide heating, cooling and ventilation in a highly efficient manner, are hygiene-compliant in accordance with VDI 6022 and are also the quietest units on the market. And with a wealth of model versions, Venkons are the right choice time after time. Thanks to their shallow design, they fit almost invisibly into suspended ceilings, but a wide range of sizes and housing designs is also available for installation below suspended ceilings.

Diffusers

They can be discreetly integrated into walls and ceilings or used as a statement design feature. There are many options for the use of diffusers. The required air volumes need to be fed into rooms with no draughts. This is guaranteed, among other things, by the patented eccentric roller.

Katherm trench systems

Floor-to-ceiling glazing is now the standard in office buildings. It allows in plenty of daylight, but presents designers and installers with the challenge of ensuring comfort and even temperatures. Katherm trench systems are the ideal solution here. Visually, they maintain architectural freedom, that is ensuring that glazed facades remain free of radiators, leaving the appearance of the room unaltered. At the same time, they guarantee thermal comfort and an even indoor climate without draughts, even on cold glazed surfaces or in the heat of summer.

PowerKon LT heat pump-based heaters

PowerKon LT units were specifically developed for efficient operation with heat pumps and ensure optimum heat output at low system temperatures with the option of a cooling function for the summer. A decisive comfort benefit for high-end properties. In the event of a refurbishment, they can be simply integrated into existing pipework systems without the need for extensive building measures. This ensures fast installation while office operations continue with minimal downtime.

KaCool D AF ceiling cassettes

Ceiling cassettes are the traditional method of air conditioning office buildings, showrooms and shop floors. KaCool D AF units combine the ultimate indoor air quality with an unobtrusive design, thereby ensuring a comfortable indoor climate with maximum efficiency. The units heat and cool rooms with their high outputs. Their air outlets make maximum use of the Coanda effect. They produce an air stream from the ceiling that falls into the room at a seriously reduced speed. That's what we call AtmosFeel (AF).

KaDius

The new KaDius, the world's most adaptable ceiling unit, is a design-orientated alternative to commercially available ceiling cassettes and adapts flexibly to any room concept. Thanks to its unique unit design, it can be installed just below the ceiling, but can also be integrated freely into the interior design of the room as a suspended unit and used as a design element. Various decorations or materials can be used to enhance its outer casing. Its 360°-outlet evenly heats or cools the room.

KaDeck

With an installation height of just 165 millimetres, the KaDeck can be installed almost anywhere, providing flexible climate control for both new buildings and refurbishment projects. Its elegant design panel blends discreetly into any interior, while the Coanda effect ensures draught-free and even air distribution. Fresh air can also be supplied as an option. The high-quality hybrid casing made of sheet steel and expanded polypropylene (EPP) ensures stability, excellent thermal insulation, and quiet, energy-efficient operation. The KaDeck is also exceptionally easy to install and service, thanks to its underside, which is fully designed as a revision access panel.

Life cycle assessments and sustainability

Sustainability is an integral part of modern building planning. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide information about the environmental impact of a product. EPDs are standardised and verified so that they can be used as evidence in certification processes for sustainable buildings etc. Many of our units already carry Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). This is yet another way that we are trying to actively support architects, building services designers and developers in the certification of sustainable office buildings.
