Hotel Ross, Meissen

When you think about Meissen, you invariable think about Meissen porcelain. And probably also that t it is beautiful and of high quality. You don’t tend to think of the city of Meissen. However the cityscape of the Old Town with Albrechtsburg Castle and Cathedral and the Old Town itself with its lovingly restored, brightly coloured historical façades are definitely worth seeing. If you do decide to visit the city, then the Hotel Ross is the obvious place to stay – for two reasons.

First of all because the hotel lies right in the centre of the city. And secondly because the hotel blends architecturally and historically into the city: guests have been coming here since 1898. The historical ambience has also been retained after the extensive renovation that took from April 2018 to April 2019. The latest Kampmann climate technology has been installed in the old walls.

A KaClima WI 162 water-cooling chiller with Tandem scroll compressor works in front of the doors of the hotel providing central cooling energy. A glycol cooling plant with four sound-optimised EC high-output fans was installed as a ready-to-connect compact unit.

Kampmann Venkons are installed in the suspended ceilings of the hotel bedrooms. Thanks to its EC motors, the fan coil delivers maximum efficiency and is also whisper-quiet. The coated perforated air inlet also doubles as a service hatch so that no additional opening needs to be made for maintenance.

The same applies to the KaDeck: quiet, high-performance and with a smart maintenance concept. The wet cooling version used here also delivers extra output. The KaDeck units in the Hotel Ross are installed in the restaurant and conference area. With their extremely slim height of only 160 mm, the KaDeck literally disappears into the suspended ceiling.

KaCool W are also installed in the bedrooms. These attractive yet minimalist wall-mounted units for heating and cooling can be installed in minutes. And just as practical: the three-way valves are pre-installed and are located within the casing. And if you need them in a hurry: KaCool W units are available ex-works!
