        basic unit

        Kampmann KaDius fan coil design ceiling unit with a room unit design that blends into the interior design. Featuring a 360° air outlet, high-end designer spaces are evenly and comfortably heated and cooled.
        As a very shallow under-ceiling unit (208 mm overall height), it can be integrated discreetly into rooms with open ceiling concept or with a low suspended ceiling. Its appearance is not affected, as all components are fitted within the unit. Thanks to the independence of the casing components, the KaDius can be integrated into furnishing elements that blend with the interior design concept.  The housing consists of an insulating and heat-bridge-free EPP (expanded polypropylene) design, which is sound-insulating and simplifies installation on account of its low overall weight. Within the unit, its organic form with no corners and edges enables all surfaces to be cleaned, and provides for an optimised, turbulence-free air flow. The utility mode-protected and patent-pending design provides for installed close to the ceiling with a sealed underside. Two knurled screws can be loosened on the top of the unit for maintenance. The base of the unit is held on the functional unit by additional magnets. The base of the unit can be lowered by 157 mm but dropping it along the retaining rails. Components relevant for maintenance can now be accessed. If required, the base of the unit can also be removed without tools.
        Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data is published in the form of an EPD according to EN 15804 and is available to download from the International EPD System. Registered in the building products platform DGNB Navigator. GWP (phase A1-A3), kg CO2 Äq.1,34E+02. Further calculations possible online.

        Casing

        The visible design panel and side panels are made of powder-coated sheet steel in RAL 9016 traffic white with a satin finish (standard). Alternative colors can be selected at no additional cost:

        Filter

        ISO Coarse filter on the upper side of the unit protects against accidental intrusion and dirt in the unit. Filters can be removed and regenerated during maintenance to clean them. Cleaning and maintenance are carried out according to VDI 6022. Hygiene-certified in line with VDI 6022.

        Condensate tray/pump

        The condensate tray made of EPP with a specially treated surface for safe drainage is integrated into the lower shell of the unit. Speed-controlled condensate pump with dynamic adaptation of the delivery rate and minimum operating noise. Capacitive float switch for reduced maintenance.

        Fan

        Axial fan with safety guard. Energy-saving EC fan with 0-10 V input for continuously variable speed control. All rotating parts have low-noise and maintenance-free bearings. Factory-wired. Overtemperature protection of the fan by active temperature management.

        valve

        The internal and factory-fitted valve kit includes:
        • Thermostatic valve to shot off the water flow
        • 2-point actuator
        • Shut-off ball valve for the manual shut-off of the water flow
        • Corrugated pipes with 18 mm copper connection spigots for connection to supply lines
        • Angle section 90 degrees

        Control

        An easily accessible locking repair switch is fitted on the unit.
        An easily accessible electrical junction box is located inside the basic unit. It contains a control PCB with plug-in terminals.

        Packaging and assembly

        A removable drilling template is included in the packaging of the unit, which simplifies the marking of the drilling points. The packaging concept enables the unit to be installed complete with its packaging. After installation, the drilling template is reinserted so that the unit remains protected from dirt until it is commissioned. Using fastening material supplied on site, the KaDius can be mounted on the M4 or M8 blind rivet nuts. It is possible to suspend the KaDius using wire cables (optional accessory).
